After a series of 3-night and 4-night cruises, where we only ate at each dining room once (not counting Pirate Night), we were looking forward to a repeat dinner on our 5-night cruise. Will it be the same menu? Perhaps a different menu? We don’t know, so come with us and we will find out together as we have dinner again at Enchanted Garden!
Ravioli!

We are splurging tonight on the last night, so we began with North Atlantic Lobster Ravioli. With roasted Garlic and sweet Basil scented Tomato Juice. Simple, and not too heavy. Really just 4 bites if you think about it.
Unofficial Poke?

Everyone at the table was encouraged to order the Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower, served with Crispy Noodles and Wasabi dressing. Once it arrived, we kindly asked our server for a bowl of white rice, which we split among the three of us. We turned our Ahi Tuna tower into an unofficial poke dish!
So that’s a little unexpected dining tip we’re sharing. Order this appetizer with some rice on the side and make a little more filling custom appetizer!
Soup!

I think my server was being a smart aleck. This Heirloom Tomato Soup with Sour Cream, Croutons, and Basil does not normally come with a tiny slice of pizza. One just happened to appear on my plate because my server is a prankster. That’s okay, it got a good laugh by everyone.
Oh, right, the soup! It tasted like marinara sauce. So dunking a mini slice of pizza into it wasn’t too unusual. Look, the other option was Cream of Green Asparagus and you know we’re not even going to try that. Yuck-o!
Prime Rib? Why not.

It’s our last dinner on the cruise, so why not go for the Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Thyme-roasted Vegetables, Double-baked Potato, Horseradish, and Natural Jus. There were several main courses that looked tempting tonight, including scallops or pork tenderloin, but we didn’t want to overdo it. Plus we have to pack our luggage after this.
The prime rib was nice, albeit lukewarm. A double-baked potato is always good in our opinion. The veggies were simply veggies. It’s hard to screw those us. All in all, it was a decent dinner choice. We didn’t leave disappointed.
Dessert number one!

A favorite dessert menu for us is sticky pudding. It’s basically like a cake, it’s warm, it’s drizzled with sauce and usually comes with ice cream. As you can see, tonight is no exception! This is the Warm Sticky Date Pudding, served with Butterscotch sauce, Vanilla ice cream, and a Phyllo crunch (cookie-like thing).
Delicious! Like we said just above, it’s warm, it’s cake-y, and there’s ice cream. You can see why it’s a favorite of ours; it’s a great dessert combination!
Dessert number two!

We’re southerners. We love a good pecan pie, so when we saw this Southern Style Pecan Tart on the menu, we had to try it! Served with a Bourbon Caramel Sauce that was light on the bourbon, this dessert was just okay. There were a few other dessert options to choose from, and if we were to order a second dessert again, we’d try something else. Something about these tarts on Disney Cruise Line just aren’t really doing it for us. Live and learn.
And we’re done!
Our last dinner on our 5-night Disney Fantasy cruise certainly had some highlights, but also a few low lights. Obviously the marinara soup wasn’t a favorite, nor was our second dessert, but the Ahi Tuna Tower was a nice appetizer (which doesn’t need the additional rice, btw). Our Prime Rib was decent, and of course we loved the Sticky Date Pudding.
There were other options on the menu this evening that were also tempting, so definitely try it if it sounds interesting to you! It took us two cruises on the Disney Wish to really get an idea of what’s good and not-our-favorite in those dining rooms, so perhaps we just need to take another 5-night cruise to finally nail these down and hone in on some favorites.
Before you go?
Here’s a look at the Enchanted Garden dessert menu if you’re interested.

Thank you very much for reading and we’ll see you next time!
