Hi! I’m Liz and thank you for visiting Disney Rover. I’ve been visiting Walt Disney World for a very long time. I used to be the type of visitor who would be up early, arrive at the park when it opens and stays until it closes. My family and I did that for years. Decades, even!

The pandemic changed that, at least for me any way. When the parks were virtually empty, suddenly there was no rush to do everything and see everything. Wait times were practically non-existent, so a family could take their time moving through the park.

Having an annual pass also changed the way I visit Walt Disney World. The first two times I used my AP, I was still in that rush mode, so I did as much as I could those first two visits. A few months later when I returned, I didn’t feel the same pressure to do everything like I used to. I had already been to all the rides and shows I wanted to experience two trips before. I had no reason to rush from ride to ride, show to show. I had my personal must-do attractions, but after that it was up in the air as far as what to do.

On my third AP trip to Walt Disney World, I started wandering. Roving around, if you will. Casually moving through each area of the Magic Kingdom, stopping to look at details, or follow unbeaten paths. I began trying other restaurants besides my usuals. Restaurants I wouldn’t have normally considered because they would have cut into my ride time otherwise, or I never stopped to look at their menu.

It gave me a chance to, and sorry for the cliche’, stop and smell the roses. I found display exhibits I haven’t noticed otherwise. I saw details I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. I watched shows I would have normally skipped over. I saw live performances I had only heard about. I’m now a huge fan of the Dapper Dans and the JAMMitors because I happened upon their performances and stayed to watch.

So that’s what I’m hoping to illuminate with this site: the little things people see but not notice.. Building markers at Port Orleans French Quarter, fountains at Coronado Springs, window details at Animal Kingdom. I’m also including dining reviews because I enjoy writing those, and it’s another opportunity to include details inside restaurants that people see but not notice.

Walt Disney World is a big place. Let’s take a look around!
