Did you know that when you sail concierge on Disney Cruise Line, you have premier access to an exclusive embarkation day lunch specifically for concierge guests? No fighting lines at the buffet, no crowded main dining room. You are whisked away to another main dining room that only concierge guests can access on embakation day.

Not only that, but the exclusive embarkation day lunch is tailor-made, custom curated to the discerning tastes one can expect with such a hefty price tag! We sailed concierge on the Disney Wish recently and we have the exclusive inside scoop of this luxurious, again, custom-curated, lunch at 1923 not available to regular Disney Cruise Line guests!

Is the coast clear?

Okay, is it just us normal people now? That’s who this is really aimed at. Look, seriously, the “exclusive, tailor-made, custom…” blah blah. It’s the same stuff you get in the main dining room on embarkation day aside from one extra main dish.

Same empanada. Same muffuletta. Same sundae. IT’S THE SAME STUFF. Don’t let the uppities make you feel lesser because they have a special lunch. I’ll post the menu at the bottom of the article and you can compare from a previous cruise or save it for reference on your next cruise. It’s all the same.

In fact, we’ll throw in pictures from both concierge lunch at 1923 and Arendelle lunch to show you it’s the same stuff no matter which dining room you’re at. Pay attention to the plates and you’ll see which came from where.

Same bread.

No fancy pants dipping sauces like at dinner. You get bread and you get butter. And if you’ve been waiting since 10:30 to get on the ship, you’re probably starving anyway, so dig in!

We always get the empanada.

Disney Wish Arendelle lunch empanada

Funny, it looks just like the empanada the normal people get. Beef empanada with red chimichurri. That’s a fancy term for “stuff you can dip or scoop into your empanada.” It’s fine, it’s not that spicy.

Soup’s on!

This is the Seafood and Chicken Gumbo with Cornbread. Again, not very spicy. It’s fine, it’s nothing to write home about.

Pasta pasta pasta.

We always get the Pennette Pasta. It comes with goat cheese, spinach pesto, and some kind of fancy tomato sauce that we cannot spell, let alone pronounce. Lunch options are kind of limited to this, a muffuletta sandwich (has olives), or a bunch of salads. We didn’t take out a second mortgage for this cruise to eat like a bunny.

The exclusive lunch menu option here is the Roasted Beef Tenderloin, served with sauteed mushrooms, parsnip puree, and a cabernet wine reduction. We passed because of the mushrooms.

The carrot cake

Disney Wish Arendelle lunch dessert

While the Welcome Aboard Sundae does sound tempting, we opted for the standard carrot cake instead. While it does contain nuts, it did not contain raisins. Some people will find that info helpful.

The other exclusive offering!

While we did not take a photo, we were offered a glass of champagne with lunch. Ever since we attended the Champagne Tasting a few cruises ago, we’ve become kind of particular about champagne. Not because we’re discerning, but because there’s only one brand we enjoy, and why order a champage if you’re not going to like it and not want to drink it?

So that’s it!

There’s really not much else to it, really. We arrived towards the end of lunch, so the dining room was pretty much dead. I think we were the only ones in that particular area. Aside from dining at 1923 instead of Arendelle, it was pretty much a normal embarkation day sit down lunch but with even less of a crowd.

We did have a window seat, so we had a lovely view of another cruise ship in port that day.

No, it’s not The Love Boat, but Princess Cruise Line does have “The Love Boat” theme as one of their ship horns! Shout-out if you remember the show.

Here’s the menu I promised.

As you can see, it’s pretty much the same menu as the normal embarkation day sit-down lunch.

That’s it for us!

Yep, that was lunch at our private, exclusive concierge-only lunch at 1923 on the Disney Wish! We hope you enjoyed joining us for lunch and realizing that despite what you may hear online about concierge lunch: you’re not missing anything special. Beef tenderloin and champagne, that’s what you’re missing.

Thank you very much for reading! We’ll see you next time.
