Did you know that you can purchase gifts for your stateroom ahead of your cruise? Disney Cruise Line has an entire department of onboard gifts that you can purchase ahead of time, most of which will be waiting for you in your cruise stateroom when you arrive. (except alcohol)

You can purchase gift packages. You can purchase desserts. There are a variety of beer and wine packages, however those must be signed for upon delivery. They even have floral arrangements! The list is quite impressive, if we’re being honest. To quote Ariel from The Little Mermaid, “Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?” We think so, too, Ariel.

Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts is your link to all things available to purchase ahead of your cruise. If you have a cruise booked, you can enter your reservation number to see what options are available, or you can browse by cruise departure port. Not all gifts are available at every port, and some gifts are limited time only, such as Halloween or Christmas.

We’ve purchased a few onboard gifts before, and we’re ready to tell you all about it. No misses in this article; these are all hits. We’re pitching positivity today, and as of publishing, all the items mentioned below are still currently available to purchase for cruises out of Port Canaveral, Florida. But hurry, because they can sell out! (and some have in the past)

Our one must-buy!

Dasani water package Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts

Yes, water is available onboard the ship, however, we’ve heard stories about it not tasting very good and in some cases causing bloating. Out of precaution, and for convenience, we opt for a Dasani water package. Toss a few into the stateroom refrigerator on embarkation day and later that evening, they should be good to go! This water package is available in quantities of 6, 12, and 24. Prices vary depending on the size.

Granted, you can bring bottled water onboard the ship when you arrive, but it cannot be checked in your luggage, so it’s something you have to carry around with you until your room is ready. As I’m sure you know, those things are heavy!

Family pro-tip! If you have a stroller, load up that bottom basket with unopened bottles of water, Gatorade, juice, etc. We saw a family do that on a cruise earlier this year and thought it was genius!

A gift you can give as a gift!

DCL Comfort Set Package Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts

When we purchased this Disney Cruise Line Comfort Set, found under “In-Room Decor”, the intention was to keep the pillow and gift the blanket. The blanket was very well received as a gift! It’s large enough to curl up under for an afternoon nap, and because it’s sherpa wool, it’s warm! Need something for on the couch during fall? This is your blanket!

At $95, it’s a little pricey for only two items, but the joy this blanket brings makes it worth it to us. The decorative pillow is also double-sided, with Captain Mickey on one side, and Captain Minnie on the other. During our cruise, each day our stateroom attendant made up our room, he would flip the pillow around. He might not think we noticed, but we definitely did!

Ahoy, Matey!

Ahoey Matey Chocolate Treats Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts

Disney Cruise Line is known for their Pirate Night. Typically held on the evening of your day at Castaway Cay, the ship transforms to a pirate festival. Characters are in special pirate outfits. The dining rooms offer a pirate-inspired menu for dinner. There is an evening show on the main outdoor deck which culminates in fireworks at sea. It’s quite the day!

This Ahoy Matey Chocolate Treats candy assortment ($29) is a fun way to celebrate Pirate Night. They have a chocolate treasure map. There are a few themed chocolate treats. And what pirate booty wouldn’t be complete without a treasure chest of chocolate gold coins? Surprise bonus: the treasure chest is also edible!

While we thought this chocolate treat assortment was tasty and very fun, it would be a one-time purchase for us. Get it as a splurge for yourself or the kiddos, but you don’t have to make it an every time thing.

The decor package with repeatability!

Set Sail for Adventure Package Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts

In deciding on room decor packages for the stateroom, two of our considerations are useability and repeatability. How many of these items would we use back home, and could any of these items be used on future cruises? With this package, we found items that check both boxes!

This Set Course for Adventure room decor package ($95) includes two pillowcases, a beach towel, and two hanging decor items. The hanging decor is affixed by magnets, since the walls of the stateroom are metal. We found the hanging decor can easily fit into one of the front pockets of our luggage.

When packing for the next cruise, we simply put them back into the front luggage pockets, and they’re good to go for some quick room decor when we arrive! If you buy a tree air freshener, the elastic string is just stretchy enough to fit around on of the magnet discs, so you could hang an air freshener or two in your room as well to keep the room smelling nice.

The pillowcases have certainly made their way into our linen rotation at home. One for sleeping on, and one as a decor pillow after the bed is made. On the next cruise, we even brought along the pillowcases for our room to add to the cruise atmosphere.

We bought this room decor package two cruises ago, and we fully intend to bring it, and the pillowcases, along on our next cruise, so we are definitely getting our money’s worth out of it! Everything is still in great shape!

The DCL splurge!

DCL Wireless Speaker Boat Disney Cruise Line Onboard Gifts

If you really want to splurge on your upcoming Disney cruise, this is the item for you! Allow us to introduce you to the Disney Cruise Line Floating Ship Wireless Speaker ($120). It’s aptly named.

Yes, this is a bluetooth-enabled wireless speaker. Yes, it’s shaped like a Disney Cruise Line ship. And YES: it does actually float in water! A stand is included for in-home non-floating use. The unit is reachargable via USB-C connetion and comes with a carrying bag. When powered on, the room windows light up!

Enjoy your tunes while annoying everyone around you at the community pool with this handy gadget! You’ll be the talk of the town, for sure. While we can see the allure of this item, it’s not something we would purchase for ourselves. Circling back to useability and repeatability, this item checks neither box for us.

I think we’re done here.

These items we talked about are just a few of the onboard gifts available at Disney Cruise Line. Other options include beer and wine packages, floral arrangements, Mickey-shaped cakes and cupcakes, and even cigar packages. Onboard gifts was something we didn’t even know about on our first Disney cruise, but is now someting we at least check when our next cruise is booked and paid for.

Even if we only purchase a water package, it’s always fun to look around the site to see what is available and if we can be tempted into an impulse purchase. We’re always tempted by at least one or two items.
