As much as we really want to have a happy breakfast on the last day of our cruise, it’s really just one last hurrah before we exit the ship and go back to normal life. Vacation’s over, back to reality. Unless you booked a Disney World vacation after your Disney Cruise. If that’s the case, then we’re jealous.

Where’s breakfast?

On disembarkation day, your dining room for breakfast is the same dining room where you had dinner the previous night. So in our case, we had dinner at 1923, so our breakfast location the last morning is also 1923. Your server will remind you of this the night before so there’s no confusion.

Of course, breakfast is optional. Some guests may have an early flight and need to exit the cruise ship as soon as it’s cleared by US Customs. Since we’re locals, we don’t know how this works if you have transportation arrangements through Disney Cruise Line. Let us know if you had time for breakfast or if you had to catch your bus instead!

Pastries!

1923 Dismebarkation breakfast pastries

After sitting down, a quick look around at empty tables is a stark reminder that your cruise is unfortunately over. As a distraction, your serving team will bring over a basket of pastries for you to choose from! Why yes, I can be distracted by a cup of coffee and some sweet pastries!

Simple breakfast choices.

1923 Dismebarkation breakfast

It’s not a fancy breakfast, but it is a quick breakfast to at least give you something tasty. You’re going to need energy for those heavy suitcases! Our first choice was a simple ham and cheese omelet with hashbrowns and bacon.

More carbs for energy!

1923 Dismebarkation breakfast french toast

Knowing an omelet wouldn’t be enough, we also ordered some french toast. It was good french toast! The omelet plate had a cafeteria food feel to it, while this felt a little more fancy. Maybe it was the whipped butter.

This makes it healthy.

1923 Dismebarkation breakfast fruit bowl

Now this is a fruit bowl we’re used to! You can tell we’re not having the usual breakfast fruit bowl at 1923, and instead having something that can be thrown together quickly and easily.

And that’s it!

Breakfast on your last day isn’t fancy, nor is it the normal breakfast menu served on the cruise. It’s quick and easy, designed to get everyone fed quickly and then lined up to exit the cruise ship. All three dining rooms serve the same breakfast on disembarkation day, so these are prepared in mass quantity. You can kind of tell.

Hopefully the night before, you exchanged contact information with your tablemates. If not, the final breakfast is your last chance. One last chance to bid your friends a goodbye and safe travels, as well as your serving team. Maybe you’ll see them again on another Disney Cruise. (I did!)
