We’ve covered dinners on the Disney Wish, but what about lunch options? On the Disney Wish, you have several options for lunch. You could…go to Marceline Market and peruse the buffet. You could…order room service. Perhaps you’d prefer to sit down at the one dining room open for lunch?

Or, perhaps, you don’t want to abandon your deck chairs by the pool and want something really quick. Just a few steps away, located on both sides of the forward funnel, is Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods! Tex-Mex is available at Donald’s Cantina. Barbecue is available at Mickey’s Smoke Stack Barbecue. Burgers and such are available at Goofy’s Grill. Pizza is at Daisy’s Pizza Pies. Finally, is Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream, which always has chocolate and vanilla, but also has two additional flavors that change daily.

In this article, we had lunches at two of these options. Donald’s Cantina always had a long line, and Daisy’s Pizza was eaten quickly without giving much thought to taking picture.

So let’s try Goofy’s Grill.

Goofy’s Grill is the place to go for burgers, hot dogs, and bratwurst. Having sides that include macaroni salad and coleslaw make it feel like Goofy’s throwing a backyard barbecue and inviting all of his friends.

When I saw bratwurst on the menu, I knew I had to try it. However, I had a sinking feeling it would not be prepared like they do up in Wisconsin. I didn’t have the heart to ask if these were Johnsonville brats (if you know, you know) and I could easily tell these were not boiled in beer first before grilling. Sadly, this bratwurst was just okay. Probably because they didn’t prepare it like they should have.

The rest of the food on my plate: a hotdog, coleslaw, and macaroni salad, were okay. They didn’t bowl me over like the banana ice cream at Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream.

How’s the barbecue?

Now we’re talking! Smoked sausage, pulled pork, brisket. They have macaroni and cheese and cornbread. This is right up my alley! While the sausage was decent, and the rest of the proteins were okay on their own, they really relied on sauce to elevate the flavor. Luckily, Mickey’s Smoke Stack has it’s own cart of sauces.

There are several sauces to choose from: Signature BBQ sauce, hot BBQ sauce, mustard BBQ sauce, and a regular BBQ sauce. Your experience may vary here, but I found the hot barbecue sauce to be my personal favorite.

Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods, located on deck 11 forward, is a great lunch option for something quick and easy. The only downside, like Marceline Market, is the lack of seating. On one day, I ended up at a table for 8 because all of the tables for 4 were taken. Another day, I ended up taking my lunch up to deck 13 in the adult’s only area because there was no seating available elsewhere.
