In a previous article, we stepped back in time and looked around a deluxe studio at Boulder Ridge Villas. This time, we tour something more current and look around a Deluxe Studio at Copper Creek Villas, also at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Copper Creek is a Disney Vacation Club Resort, and utilizes the right side of the main Wilderness Lodge building for resort rooms. While the resort offers 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and Cabin configurations, this article will be a tour of their Deluxe Studio. Keep in mind that DVC does periodically refurbish their properties, so these pictures may become outdated in time. For now, though, let’s get started!
It feels classy!

Upon entering, the room has a more resort room classy vibe, compared to Boulder Ridge which felt more homely. It simply feels fancier, like you’re staying in a resort and not an apartment.
It has a kitchenette!

Like the Deluxe Studio at Boulder Ridge, the studios at Copper Creek come with a kitchenette, complete with mini-fridge, microwave, 12-cup coffee maker, and sink. Disney also provides dish soap and a sponge for those who like doing dishes on vacation.
Below is a collection of pictures highlighting what you can find in the kitchenette area. Snack storage, cups, utensils, ice bucket, toaster, and garbage can. There is also a recycling bin nearby.
The bathroom is nice, too!

Again, just one sink, but the bathroom has a lot of great counter space!

The shower has sliding doors, a nice shower head, and a clothes line for drying out bathing suits. When these pictures were taken, Disney was providing small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. This may change in the future as they convert rooms to the wall-mounted contraption. Also, the wheels for the shower doors sit on top of the railing. Don’t be like me and put a towel over the railing to dry and then try to open the shower door and get the wheel stuck.
It’s a coffee table! Or is it?

There is also a couch with a table that lifts up, and can provide additional storage if needed. This unit is a great height for eating in front of the television, or doing some remote work.
Storage, drawers, and a closet. Oh my!
This collage highlights the remainder of your storage options in the studio, with lots of drawers of various sizes, under bed storage, and a closet (with iron and ironing board). It’s a great use of space!
I love this art print!

If Wilderness Lodge had a Print-On-Demand kiosk, I’d probably have a replica of this print hanging up in my home right now. It’s a great print highlighting many of the features at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!
There’s a patio/balcony!

My room was on the first floor, so I had this very nice patio with two chairs and a small table. Perfect for outside lounging, or morning coffee sipping while enjoying the view from your room. Rooms further up have a balcony.
That just about does it for the Deluxe Studio room tour! Copper Creek Villas comprises the south wing of Wilderness Lodge. The entrance is not very well marked, so don’t feel embarrassed if you have to ask someone how to get to your room. There is an elevator located down the hallway off the lobby. There are stairs, but I believe that is at the end of the hallway.
