Every now and again, I prefer to not have a cocktail and instead have a beer. Luckily, Disney has quite a variety around it’s property ranging from the usual large brands like Budweiser and Miller-Coors, to more local to Florida varieties, to some that are country-specific. Chances are, if you’re in the mood for one, you’ll find something interesting to try.
I’ll try to do my best to write about each of the beers I’ve had, but it may not be the best description other than “I had this and I enjoyed it.” I’m not a beer expert at all. (I have to ask some of my friends if a brand is worth trying). But I’ll at least give you a name and where I had it if you want to try it yourself.

Tusker Lager – Spice Road Table, Morocco Pavilion, EPCOT

Fun fact: the company’s owner was killed in an elephant hunting accident.
This beer is from Africa (as I’m sure you guessed), and any time I’m dining at Spice Road Table, I’ll order this. I’ve heard it’s also available at Animal Kingdom.

Beach Blonde Ale – 3 Daughters Brewery – Whispering Canyon Cafe – Wilderness Lodge

Okay I cheated a little. This is a beer that’s local to my region of Florida, which I’ve had before, so I knew it would be good if I ordered it at Disney.

Blue Moon – Belgian White – Geyser Point – Wilderness Lodge

I’ll admit, I’ve never tried Blue Moon before and I was curious to try it. I didn’t know it would come with a garnish. I guess this is specific to Blue Moon. Also can we talk about the head on this beer? Good grief!

??? – Crockett’s Tavern – Fort Wilderness

Well this is awkward. I don’t remember which beer this is. While doing to some research to jog my memory, the listed beers on their menu are “assorted”. To make matters worse, Crockett’s Tavern is now permanently closed, along with the adjacent quick service restaurant, while it undergoes refurbishment and will reopen under a new name. Sorry about that one, folks.

PBR – Fort Wilderness

I cheated again. I brought this from home to have here at Disney while I spent the night in one of the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. The cabins have a near-full kitchen and an actual full-size refrigerator and freezer, so you can totally hit up the grocery store and cook (or grill, they have grills) at the cabin instead of dining out at a restaurant.

Schofferhofer Hefeweizen – Rix Sports Bar and Grill – Coronado Springs Resort

Doesn’t it look beautiful? The bartender knows how to pour a beer. Anyway, this is a grapefruit beer! I’ve always wanted to try one. I’ve heard about grapefruit beers at Epcot during the festivals, so when I saw this on the menu at Rix, I had to try it. And it did not disappoint. You can read my review of Rix if you’re curious about the food.

Funky Buddha Floridian – Three Bridges at Villa del Lago and Rix Sports Bar – Coronado Springs Resort

This was another beer I was interested in trying. When I was undecided at Rix, the server offered to bring me this as a baby beer to give it a try. I only wanted one drink with lunch, so I ordered it the next night when I dined at Three Bridges (here’s my review of that). It was good. I think I liked the grapefruit beer better, but this wasn’t bad. I’d order it again.
Well that’s it for now. Sorry it wasn’t more informative or descriptive. I have another article in the works discussing the various cocktails I’ve had around Walt Disney World, so if this wasn’t your cup of tea, maybe that article will be.
Thanks for reading!
