When I went on a Disney Cruise in 2022, I did not know the “Drink of the Day” was a thing. To be honest, I wished I did, because it’s actually a pretty good deal! They’re not that expensive! Last I checked the price was about $6.25. For Disney cocktail prices, that’s actually pretty good.

Before we begin…

We have more recent Drink of the Day articles! Including more recent pricing! Read about our 2025 Drink of the Day experience on the Disney Fantasy for our most up-to-date information. We also revisted the Disney Wish Drink of the Day in 2024.

So what is the Drink of the Day?

As the name implies, it’s the special cocktail drink available at the bars onboard the ship that particular day. There is also a non-alcoholic drink of the day, if you would prefer that. As you probably guessed, the drink changes daily. From my understanding, there are 10 different drinks in the drink of the day rotation, so it’s quite unlikely the same drink will be offered two days in a row.

How do I see what the Drink of the Day is?

Along with asking the bartender, you can also check your Disney Cruise Line app to find out what the two drinks of the day are. Sometimes the non-alcoholic version sounds more appealing!

I went on a 4-night sailing to Nassau and Castaway Cay on the Disney Wish back in January 2023, and here are the drinks of the day that I had each day:

Day #1: Captain’s Mai Tai

Drink of the Day - Captain's Mai tai

Captain’s Mai Tai – spiced rum, Amaretto, pineapple juice, dark rum.
It was quite tasty and a little bit strong. The garnish is a dried pineapple slice which wasn’t actually edible. I think they put it in a dehydrator or something. It looked nice, though!

Day #2: Sunken Treasure

Drink of the Day - Sunken Treasure

Sunken Treasure – Malibu, Midori, Blue Curaçao, orange juice, pineapple juice.
I’m embarrassed to admit that this was so incredibly good, that I forgot to take a picture of the first one I had, and then half way through the second drink is when I remembered I needed to take a picture! Sorry for the terrible picture of a half-empty glass!

Day #3: Stingray

Drink of the Day - Stingray

Stingray – spiced rum, Midori, pineapple juice, cranberry juice.
This was another drink that I enjoyed and once again the dried fruit slice on top was not edible. I’m starting to think Disney Cruise Line loves dried fruit garnishes.

Day #4: Melon Margarita

Drink of the Day - Melon margarita

Melon Margarita: Tequila, Midori, lime juice, agave nectar)
This is another drink that I had 2 of, but in my defense I was hanging out with people I had met on the ship, so we were being social and having a few afternoon drinks. I’m not a huge fan of melon flavor by itself, but this was a fun spin on a regular margarita.

As I mentioned earlier, this was just 4 of the possible 10 drinks that could be offered as a drink of the day. Unfortunately I did not take notes of what the non-alcoholic drink of the day was. I can assure you that when I go on my next Disney cruise, I’ll be sure to write those down so I can do a follow-up article in the future!
